This is your chance to make your voice heard. Take the following survey and tell your local leaders and elected officials what you &lsquo;Say Yes&rsquo; to.7 questions. 2 minutes. Completely anonymous. A local MJHA would function as an action-oriented, inter-governmental resource hub for housing guided by grassroots community input and engagement.An MJHA would be designed to answer the question: &ldquo;How do we move from understanding Clear Creek County&rsquo;s housing needs to addressing them effectively?&rdquo;The complex issue of housing requires more than just building houses! Whether you own or rent your home, an MJHA would be a one-stop shop for housing resources and referrals as well as support to navigate local land use processes and housing-related programs.MJHA priorities could include:<ul><li>Encouraging new funding for housing through public/private partnerships and outside investment in the area;</li><li>Implementing programs that support housing through renovation, down payment assistance, weatherizations, and homebuyer education;</li><li>Better managing deed restrictions, local zoning laws, land agreements, property tax incentives, and rental housing;</li><li>Developing new incentives that preserve existing housing and create new affordable homes.</li></ul>Housing is a foundational part of economic development, health, education and stability for our entire community. Introduction:Clear Creek County is working with the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments (NWCCOG) to provide homeowners and renters in our community with weatherization and energy efficiency assistance.These opportunities are provided through two programs, the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) and Colorado&rsquo;s Affordable Residential Energy Program (CARE), the details are available below.Colorado&rsquo;s Affordable Residential Energy Program (CARE):Colorado&rsquo;s Affordable Residential Energy Program (CARE) is a state program that provides free energy conservation services to eligible households, both for owner-occupied and rental properties. The goal of the ROMP is to identify a vision and values, key projects, partnerships and funding mechanisms that will help Clear Creek County protect our natural resources and provide high quality recreational amenities for residents that can support a sustainable economy. <a href="https://forum.clearcreekcounty.us/16592/widgets/54106/documents/35822" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">For a more detailed description of the project, click here.</a>WHO: Clear Creek County has convened the following teams to support the ROMP. For additional detail about the roles and responsibilities of each group, see the <a href="https://forum.clearcreekcounty.us/16592/widgets/54106/documents/35823" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">ROMP Collaboration Charter</a>.<ul><li>Interagency Team: The Interagency Team (IT) is comprised of county, municipal, federal, and state land managers with jurisdiction within Clear Creek County. The Interagency Team helps to identify and provide data and information, provides input on agendas and approaches for stakeholder and community engagement, and helps to identify and prioritize potential projects.</li><li>Planning Partners Team: The Planning Partners Team (PPT) is a multi-stakeholder group of recreation planning subject matter experts that provides input to the ROMP through facilitated dialogue. Interests represented on the PPT include open space planning, cultural and historical resources, youth engagement, economic/business/tourism, recreational uses, outdoor equity, and environmental conservation. The PPT will support visioning, goal development, and prioritize and discuss ideas for ROMP project implementation.</li><li>Community Advisory Team: The Community Advisory Team (CAT) represents a wide range of community demographics and perspectives that reflect the diversity of community members impacted by recreation planning. The CAT will inform the work and dialogue of the IT and PPT through focus groups.
