WHAT DO YOU SAY YES TO?

“I Say Yes to living where you work.” George Marlin

“I Say Yes to ADUs.” Chuck Harmon

“I Say Yes to safe employee housing.” Lindsay Valdez

“I Say Yes to quality housing for everyone in CCC.” Randy Wheelock

“I Say Yes to community.” Autumn Brooks

“I Say Yes to fair housing for all!” Kent Buffelli

I Say Yes is a community-driven project to engage and unite residents, local businesses, nonprofit groups and elected officials around preserving livability for Clear Creek County.

Through collaboration, creative problem solving and coordinated action, we can address the need for housing that people who live and work in our community can afford.

WHAT IS I SAY YES?

Clear Creek County is a strong community and a wonderful place to live.

But skyrocketing rent and housing prices are threatening liveability for everyday residents. Working hard is no longer a guarantee that you can afford to put a roof over your head. Friends and neighbors are moving away, sacrificing space and safety, or even losing their homes altogether.

It shouldn’t be that way.

If nothing changes, Clear Creek County will become unaffordable for the very people who define the character and culture of our community. Change is needed.

I Say Yes is your opportunity to make your voice heard.

“We want to know what people do want. What do they say yes to? What do they want to see happen in their communities?”
Randy Wheelock, County Commissioner District 3

“Many residents are having to give up 50% of their paychecks just to keep a roof over their head.”
Chuck Harmon, Mayor of Idaho Springs

“There is no place that I would rather be. This is the place that is my home.”
Autumn Brooks, Resident
