Clear Creek County is currently updating its short-term rental (STR) regulations under Ordinance 19. This effort is focused on evaluating whether updates are needed to better support long-term housing availability for residents and the local workforce while maintaining a clear and enforceable framework for STR operations.

The County is reviewing the existing requirements under Ordinance 19 and identifying potential revisions where needed. The goal is to ensure the regulations are effective, enforceable, and aligned with current conditions in the County.

County staff are actively working on drafting updates to the ordinance. A proposed update is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2026, at which point it will be presented for public review and consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.
